Irving B. Yoskowitz, Former United Technologies General Counsel, Joins SIRVA’s Board of Directors

CHICAGO, January 14, 2004 – SIRVA, Inc. (NYSE: SIR), a global relocation services provider, has elected Irving B. Yoskowitz, former executive vice president and general counsel of United Technologies Corporation (UTC), to its Board of Directors, increasing its membership to nine. He will serve on the company’s Audit and Governance committees.

In addition to his role as a director of SIRVA, Mr. Yoskowitz is a senior partner of Global Technologies Partners, LLC, and senior counsel with the law firm of Crowell & Moring in Washington, DC. He also is a director of BBA Group, plc, and Equant NV.

From 1981 to 1998, he was the executive vice president and general counsel of UTC. During that time, Mr. Yoskowitz was UTC’s lead negotiator for major domestic and international acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. He also was a member of the Corporation’s Management Executive Committee and oversaw at various times a number of UTC’s departments, including Legal; Corporate Development; Environmental, Health and Safety; and Business Practices.

Mr. Yoskowitz began his career as an officer in the United States Army, assigned to the Office of the Secretary of Defense from 1969 to 1971 as a systems analyst. Prior to joining UTC in 1979 as deputy general counsel, he was with IBM, where his last position was counsel for the public sector.

A graduate of the City College of New York, Mr. Yoskowitz received his JD, magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School and served as an editor of the Harvard Law Review. He also attended the London School of Economics from 1971 to 1972 as a Knox Fellow from Harvard University.
